Vernon Lee Garland age 73 of Annville passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington. He was born August 23, 1952 in Laurel County to the late Charlie and Marie (Bowles) Garland.
He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Boggs) Garland, a brother Robert (Bob) Garland of London and a sister Jane Davis of Annville. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Vernon was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, Melvin, Rollie and Norman as well as the following sisters, Buleah Garland, Betty Hofacker and Joyce Lewis.
Vernon was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Smith and Bro. Shane Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at the Cornetts Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers include Rodney Rainwater, Aaron Boggs, Jamie Alleshouse, Jody Alleshouse, John Davis and Justin Davis.
