Willie Don Tillery was born May 10, 1939 in Jackson County, KY and departed this life September 22, 2024 at the Homestead Post Acute in Lexington, Ky. He was the son of the late Willie Don Tillery and Nettie Collins Tillery.
Mr. Tillery is survived by one son Chris Tillery of McKee and one daughter Lisa Tillery of Fort Mitchell. He is also survived by on brother Wendall Tillery of Walton Verona.
In addition to his parents Mr. Tillery was preceded in death by his wife Julia Tillery and by the following siblings: Coleman Tillery, Ormar Tillery, Doc Tillery, Lilly Sizemore, Bonnie Highginger, Mabel Angel, Ethel Gray, and Reva Combs.
Mr. Tillery was a retired school teacher and a member of the Deer Stable Pentecostal Church.
A private Funeral Service for Mr. Tillery was held Saturday, September 28th, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Brothers Roger Tillery, Kevin Fox, and Wendell Tillery officiating. Burial followed in the Spurlock Cemetery. Visitation began at 11:00 AM.
Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
