The Jackson County Varsity Boys Basketball program kicked off its Fall League on Saturday, September 13, with an impressive turnout of over 50 students from all three county schools. Designed for boys in grades K-5, the league offers both skill development and competitive play. Students in grades K-2 are paired with those in grades 3-5 for skill training, while the older players are divided into four teams to compete in a 10-game regular season, followed by a tournament. The league will run for the next five weeks, with all games and training sessions scheduled for Saturdays.

Opening weekend was a big success, featuring highly competitive games and enthusiastic participation from every player. The effort and energy displayed showed the bright future of basketball in Jackson County. Adding to the excitement, members of the Varsity Boys Basketball team are serving as coaches, giving younger players the chance to learn from role models while building connections with future Generals. The Fall League not only strengthens fundamental skills but also builds community spirit, bringing together players, families, and coaches in support of Jackson County basketball.
