Robert Gene Nicolas Obituary

Robert Gene Nicholas, better known as “Bobby”, was born December 28, 1955 in Berea, KY and departed this life on November 7, 2024 at his residence being 68 years of age. He was the son of the late Oscar “Boss” Nichols and Freda Price Nichols who preceded him in death.
Bobby is survived by the following children, Angie Bryant, Betty Jo Brewster (Michael), Kimberly Bolton (Jeffery), and Patty Boyd (Bradley); 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by the following sisters and brother: Jackie Lay (Travis), Phyllis Nichols, Mike Nichols (Jill), Brenda Richmond (Rick), Joann Nichols and Rosie Dishman (Thomas); by three special nieces, Shannon Cunagin and Melissa Edwards and McKindsey Bowles who helped care for him. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.
Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helene Nichols; two sisters, Gwendelyn “Doody” Robinson and Judy Napier; a brother, Woody Napier and by a niece, Stephanie Smith.
The family would like to give a special thank you to…Annville Adult Day Care, Hospice, Rev Carroll deforest and friends who helped care for Bobby in his final days.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Lakes Funeral Home with Tyler Allen and David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Nichols Family Cemetery. Pallbearers: Doug Robinson, Bill Robinson, Robert Robinson, Stephen Hensley, Shawn Harris, Jacob Nichols, Titus Nichols and Tristan Harris. Honorary Pallbearers: Rick Richmond, Warren McQueen, Phillip Bowles, Ronnie Baker, Roger Cunagin, Miles Harris, Donald Edwards, Jordan Shannon, Ronnie Vaughn & Norman Cunagin.
