"Becoming People Ready"

The Jackson County Development Association is pleased to announce its partnership with Brushy Fork Leadership Institute at Berea College to bring The People Ready Communities Leadership Program to Jackson County. "People Ready Communities is an opportunity to help us in Jackson County bring a shared vision to life by working on a project to improve our community."

The program will grow your leadership skills, explore tourism possibilities, and build on community assets to help create a better life for all in Jackson County. This program will engage the community to address issues that form the backbone of a strong local economy. In Jackson County, the work of becoming People Ready is focused on tourism development with a vision of creating a place where everyone can enjoy the historical, natural, cultural, and outdoor recreation opportunities that Jackson County offers.

The People Ready Communities Program will engage a core team of individuals and a community project to bring a shared vision to action. The Jackson County Development Association invites all interested people in Jackson County to be a part of our efforts to improve our community.
 
The first meeting is on March 11th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Jackson County Library. This meeting will be an informative meeting to talk about the program. The program is free, and food will be provided at no cost. The enrollment deadline has been extended to March 4th.
