Freda Sue (Reece) Ward Obituar

Freda Sue (Reece) Ward age 76, of Beattyville Kentucky passed away February 11, 2025. She was born on November 27, 1948 in Oneida, Kentucky to the late Earl and Gracie (Gray) Reece.

Freda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was married to the love her life, Wilmer Ward for 58 years. Together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family and love.

She is survived by her loving husband Wimer and their five children, Michael (Vilida) Ward of Phoenix, AZ, Timothy (Maria) Ward of Warsaw, Dennis (Nola) Ward of Cincinnati, OH, Becky (Joey) Helton and Steven (Missie) Ward both of Beattyville. Freda was blessed with eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren each of whom she adored. She is also survived by her sister Phyllis Cole of Gasher, OH and a special cousin Elaine Arvin and several nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Earl and Gracie Reece, her four brothers, Wilmer, Bobby, Billy and Ronnie Reece, her sister Rose Mary Reece. Freda had a passion for sewing, quilting, gardening and bird watching. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Funeral Services for Ms. Freda will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. Eddy Judd presiding. A visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Saturday.  Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery.
