Jo Marie Turner Obituary

Jo Marie Turner departed this life on the morning of Monday, February 17th, 2025, at seventy years old, at St. Joseph Main in Lexington Kentucky.

Born on August 6th 1954, Jo Marie proudly earned many titles. Mother of two sons, Christopher Doyle Turner (Tina Turner) and Ermon Douglas Turner (Amy Turner). Grandmother to two girls whom she loved dearly, Lakota Marie Rister (Caleb Rister) and Rylee Marisa Turner. Sister to her late brother Delbert Flannery. Aunt to Delbert’s children and grandchild, Karen Harrison, Joseph Flannery, and Alyssa Stewart.

Jo Marie was proceeded in death by her ever-loving husband of nearly forty-five years, Christopher R. Turner. The two resided in SandGap, Kentucky, alongside their children and their families.

Jo prided herself in her Christianity and spreading the light of faith in every soul she touched. Her service will be officiated by her longtime friends and pastors Gerald Maupin and George Mullins.

Jo Marie will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Kirby Knob Cemetery in Kirby Knob Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Maupin and Bro. George Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirby Knob Cemetery. Pallbearers include Eric Anglin, Ricky Harrison, Jim Cody, Kyle Lakes, Caleb Rister and Dylan Folmar. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
