Congressman Rogers Recognizes Gold Medal Winner in Special Olympics - Desirae Nickell

Congressman Rogers reported, "Congratulations to Eastern Kentucky's own DesaRae Nickell from Morehead, Kentucky for earning a gold medal and a bronze medal at the Special Olympics in Italy! DesaRae has a rare genetic disorder called 3q29 deletion and duplication syndrome, but she hasn't let it stop her from achieving greatness. She recently earned a gold medal in the Super G snow skiing event and a bronze medal in the Giant Slalom. "

Congressman Rogers entered a tribute in the Congressional Record to honor her incredible achievements and his staff presented a framed copy of the tribute today, as she was also honored in Frankfort.
