Richmond Woman Arrested for Attempting to Set her Husband on Fire

A woman was arrested after police say she tried to light her husband and house on fire.
Richmond police say they were called to Sweet Gum Drive around 1 p.m. Saturday on a domestic violence complaint.
According to the arrest citation, 40-year-old Tina Marshall tried to light her husband on fire with a lighter during an argument.
Police say she tried to strangle him and stopped him when he tried to escape and grab his cell phone.
The citation says her daughter locked herself in the bathroom and called police.
Marshall was arrested and is facing a list of charges, including:
- First-degree attempted arson
- First-degree wanton endangerment
- Kidnapping (adult)
- Second-degree assault (domestic violence)
- Fourth-degree assault (domestic violence)
- Third-degree terroristic threatening
- First-degree strangulation (domestic violence-related)
- Menacing
