Over the course of the scheduled spring break week from school, the Jackson County Generals traveled to Fort Walton Beach, FL to compete in the Fort Walton Beach Bash. The team had fundraised all offseason and throughout the early portions of this season to be able to raise the funding necessary to go on this trip. We would like to thank all of the sponsors, donors, and fans for the support both in morale and financial support. The team really enjoyed their week and made life-long memories with their coaches and teammates, and that wouldn't have been possible without the help the community provided in these fundraisers.

While there, the Generals played 3 varsity games and 2 JV games. The V Generals came into the week riding an 8 game winning streak. The first matchup of the week came on Tuesday, April 1 against a really good Fleming County team. Cayden Farmer got the start on the mound and helped lead the team to a 2-1 win by throwing a complete game and striking out 14 batters while only allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run. Farmer (2-1) picked up the win. On offense the Generals had 9 hits, 2 each from Michael Sparks and Jameson Roark. Elijah Thomas, Davon Seals, Ashton Clemons, Jonathan Roark, and Cayden Farmer each also picked up hits. The team's only runs came on a 2 RBI double by Michael Sparks in the top of the 2nd.

The following day, Wednesday, April 2nd, the team faced a really solid team from Ohio, Franklin Senior (OH). Ashton Clemons got the start on the bump for the team. He would lead the team to a 4-2 win. Ashton (3-0) picked up the win throwing a complete game, allowing only 5 hits, 2 runs, while striking out 11. On offense, the team collected 8 hits. Ashton Clemons had 2 hits from the plate. The team also received a hit each from Davon Seals (1 RBI), Cayden Farmer (1 RBI), Jameson Roark (1 RBI), Michael Sparks, Jackson Lakes, and Elijah Thomas.

On Thursday, April 3rd, the team closed out its baseball action at the beach with a game against Trinity (Whitesville), KY. The game was started by Elijah Thomas on the mound who picked up the win (2-1) allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, while striking out 2 in 2 innings of work. Jameson Roark followed, allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs, and striking out 2 in 2 innings of work. Davon Seals came on to pitch the final inning allowing 1 hit, a walk, and striking out 1 in his inning of work. On this day, offense led the way as the Generals recorded 11 hits on the way to the 17-2 win. On this day, the team got 2 hits each from Ashton Clemons (3 RBI) and Cayden Farmer (1 RBI).
