April 25, 2025

A high school in New York will have a very special graduation ceremony, as more than a dozen sets of twins are part of its graduation class.
Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School is home to no less than 15 pairs of twins who will be graduating this spring.
Some of the twins said they have caused their teachers and peers a lot of confusion.
The different sets of twins say they will all be going to different colleges and universities across the country after they leave high school.
“I’ll miss her a lot, obviously. But I’m excited to be more on my own,” Amanda Brake said of her twin sister.

Most of the twins said they were born right after each other, within 30 seconds to two minutes.
“It’s kind of like having a built-in best friend,” Emily Brake said.
Emily Lipetz said she has never felt like she has ever had to do anything on her own.
Chloe and Aiden Manzo are a pair of twins who said they were born 10 minutes apart, with Chloe being the older sibling. Aiden Manzo said it is not a big deal to him.

“I mean, not really, no, I feel like we’re the same age,” he said.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, twins occur in only around 3% of all births in the country.
All of the twins said the best part about having a twin sibling is always having someone by your side.
“We’re really never apart, like we even won the best duo in the superlatives,” Emmalei Bowitz said.
