Maxie (Truett) Stivers Obituary

Maxie (Truett) Stivers was born January 3, 1950 in Jackson County, KY and departed this life at her home on November 15, 2023 at the age of 73. She was the daughter of the late Billy and Eva (Moore) Truett of Gray Hawk, KY.

Maxie is survived by her loving husband, Larry Stivers, of 54 years of marriage and two children, Lori (Dewayne) Carl of Gray Hawk, KY and Michael Stivers of Gray Hawk, KY: by four grandchildren, Morgan Bingham, Alyssa Vickers, Chase Stivers, & Seth Stivers and two step grandchildren, Matt & Natalie Carl. She was also looking forward to welcoming her first great grandchild, Parson Tate.

Maxie is also survived by sisters, Kathy (Dolphus) Young, Loretta (Wendell) Maupin: brothers, William (Brenda) Truett, Vinson Truett (and special friend, Pat), Eugene Truett and Kenneth Truett and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maxie was also preceded in death by her sisters, Alice (Horace) Sexton, Frances (Brack) Ooten, Donna (Roger) Parrett and brother Carlos (Linda) Truett.

Maxie was a member of the Gray Hawk Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Rose and Bro. Everett Van Zant officiating. Burial will follow in the Truett Cemetery. Pallbearers: Chase Stivers, William Truett, Steven Truett, Dylan Farmer, Brian Maupin & Shawn Truett.
