Freddy Hensley Obituary

Freddy Hensley was born September 2, 1962, in Clay County and departed this life Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington at the age of 61. He was the son of the late Grover & Ann Lee (Byrd) Hensley.

Freddy is survived by his wife, Marie (Thacker) Hensley of Tyner and by a step son, Mike Carr of Louisville and by three step grandsons, Alex Matthew Carr, Benjamin Kyle Carr and Charles Michael Carr. Other survivors include five brothers, Kenny Hensley of Tyner, Donald Joe Hensley of Manchester, Lonnie Hensley of London, Richard Emery Hensley and Roger Dale Hensley both of North Carolina and also by a honorary brother, Gerald Pierson.

Freddy was a member of the Leger Fork Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2024, at Lakes Funeral Home’s Bradshaw Chapel with Bro. David Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Byrd & Hensley Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
