Beulah Rader Obituary
Beulah Rader, age 93, of Connersville, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Indiana. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, happiness and kindness. Beulah was born on May 28, 1930, in Jackson County, Kentucky. She was one of eight children of the late Bradley and Emley Ramsey Clark. Beulah married Dessmon Rader on April 19, 1948, in McKee, Kentucky, moving to Connersville that same year. Dessmon and Beulah were founding members of the Full Gospel Holiness Church. Her love for God was evident in her involvement in church activities, vacation Bible school, and attending prayer services. Throughout her life, Beulah touched a lot of lives with her delicious cooking especially her biscuits and gravy. She was a wonderful cake decorator. Many couples had Beulah make their wedding cakes. She was an excellent porcelain doll maker. Some of the dolls she made resembled Princess Diana, Shirley Templeton, old men and women, and playful babies. Beulah was a devoted wife to her late husband, Dessmon Rader, who proceeded her in death on May 15, 2013. She was a loving mother to Anthony (Sheila) Rader of New Salem, Indiana, Dallas (Annie) Rader, Garrie (Pamela) Rader and Rev. Jerry (Dianna) Rader all of Connersville. She especially loved her five grandchildren Devin (Kelly) Rader of Connersville, Tony Rader of New Salem, Indiana, Doug (Deeann) Rader of Texas, Jerry (Carla) Rader of New Salem, Indiana, and Ashley (Kyle) Habig of West Lafayette, Indiana. Beulah loved being a great-grandmother to Kaytlynn Rader, Katelyn (Dylan) Marlatt, Kelsey (Tom) Gettinger, Kyle Rader, Cierra Rader, and Austin Rader. She has several great-great-grandchildren. She has step grandchildren Darrell Shepherd and Deborah Levi. She is also survived by her sister Mayfrey Reece and several nieces and nephews. Her family meant the world to her, and she instilled in them the value of faith, love and hard work. Her home was a haven of warmth and love. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Fred, John Wesley, and Ray Clark; three sisters, Nannie Russell, Deamie Isaacs, and Fairy Young and a great granddaughter Haley Elizabeth Rader and step-grandchild Donnie Shepherd. Beulah has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. The family would like to thank Heritage House for taking care of our beloved mother and grandmother. Friends and family may gather on Sunday February 4, 2024, Full Gospel Holiness Church, 1109 W 10th Street, Connersville, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the church on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeff Hensley and Reverend Jerry Rader officiating. Beulah will be laid to rest next to her husband at Dale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Full Gospel Holiness Church.
