The Corner Cafe’ has adopted local artist Ileaha Vaughn. Ileaha is a Jackson County resident, veteran, wife, mother, and on top of working a full time job - does extensive volunteer work here in the community.
Never a stranger to hard work and dedication, you can see the results of this in even the smallest details of her artwork, such as painting an entire city scape on the side of a coffee cup. Ileaha’s artwork though usually capturing something practical never stops there and often has a touch of something whimsical.
As soon as the Corner Cafe’ owner saw her coffee cup piece they knew this was the artist for them. Be sure to stop in at Corner Cafe’ for something delicious to eat and also to admire their framed print by your local amazing artist Ileaha Vaughn.
With no art gallery in the county, the Jackson County Creatives have begun asking local businesses if they would like to “adopt” a local artist. The businesses are displaying at least one art piece from one of our county's local artists, not trying to sell said art piece and not responsible if something happens to the artwork, only displaying.
This allows Jackson County artists to have a place with foot traffic to showcase their work and shows the community that this business cares about our local talent. If you are a local artist or a local business that would
like to participate visit our website - jacksoncountycreatives.org
