Boys Team showed up with Six PRs and a School Record
The Boys Team stormed into the postseason spotlight with one of the most memorable performances in program history — six of the seven runners posted personal bests on the regional course.
Top performers included:
Jaxon Turner – PR
Hunter Peters – PR
Avery Stewart – PR
Jake Collett – 8th place overall (18:02)
Jayden Agee – 6th place overall (17:57)
Malachi Shannon – 2nd place overall and a New School Record of 16:33!
Shannon’s record-breaking run solidified his place among the top runners in the state and helped propel the Generals to one of their highest team finishes in recent years.
Brody Isaacs battled back from injury and turned in one of his best times of the season and one of the gutsiest performances of the year!
Both teams have demonstrated that discipline, teamwork, and faith in the process will yield results. The program now turns its focus toward the KHSAA State Championships, where the Generals will proudly represent Jackson County among Kentucky’s best.
“This group has bought in from day one,” said Coach Rader. “They’ve trusted the training, encouraged each other, and run with heart. Qualifying both teams for state is quite an accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more proud.”
Looking Ahead
The Generals will compete at the State Championships next weekend, capping off the season. Congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, and supporters who have helped make this achievement possible.
