The Lady Generals opened play in the 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic Tournament with a decisive 68–27 win over Williamsburg on Saturday.
The victory improved the Lady Generals to 3–8 on the season, while Williamsburg fell to 3–4 in its first game since Dec. 20.
Jackson County set the tone early, racing out to a 19–4 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Generals continued to control the game defensively, taking a 31–10 advantage into halftime and stretching the margin to 43–18 entering the fourth quarter.
Sophia Martinez led Jackson County with 15 points, while Kylee Martin followed closely with 14. Rylee Bowman added eight points as the Lady Generals showcased balanced scoring throughout the lineup.
Lady Generals vs Harlan
Kylee Martin delivered in the clutch as the JCHS Lady Generals outlasted Harlan 54-47 in overtime Monday night in the 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic semifinals.
The win lifts Jackson County to 3-8 on the season and sends the Lady Generals into the All ‘A’ championship game, while Harlan’s season record drops to 4-10.
Martin finished with a game-high 17 points, nine of which came during the overtime period as Jackson County pulled away in the extra session. Her timely scoring helped the Lady Generals seize control after the teams battled through a tightly contested regulation.
Sophia Martinez provided a strong supporting effort with 14 points for Jackson County, while Tilly Truett added eight points in the victory.
The victory over Harlan earned the Lady Generals a berth to the Championship game. They were scheduled to play Pineville at Lynn Camp on Tuesday, January 06th, 2026 for the 13th Region All A Classic Championship!
