JCHS Lady Generals Now 3-2 on the Season

The Jackson County High School Lady Generals have had an impressive start to their 2025 fast pitch softball season, winning 3 out of their first 5 games. Their performance has been marked by strong pitching and timely hitting, making them a formidable team in their league.
The Lady Generals lost their home opener to Knox Central (7-10). However, the team bounced back with a 15-0 win in 3 innings over Williamsburg in their next game. Candice Williams continued to excel from the pitcher's mound with 7 strikeouts.
In their next game against Whitley County on March 19th, Jackson County's Candice Williams was outstanding on the mound, striking out 11 batters and allowing only four hits during the Lady Generals' 2-1 victory. This win improved Jackson County's record to 2-1, while Whitley County fell to 1-23. The Lady Generals scored two crucial runs in the sixth inning and managed to hold off a late rally by Whitley County.
On the offensive side, Williams led Jackson County with two hits and an RBI, while Kylie Moore contributed with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored6. Baylee Berry, Lexi Brockman, and Blakelynn Fee also added hits to the team's total.
The Lady Generals kept their momentum with an 11-0 win (in 5 innings) over Leslie County. Kylie Moore scored 3 runs to lead her team. Baylee Berry and Blakelynn Fee each contributed 2 runs. Candice Williams added 9 strikeouts to her impressive career total.
Unfortunately, the team matched up against a red hot Madison Southern team on Monday (March 24). Even though Williams managed 8 strikeouts Madison Southern still managed to win by a final score of 2-12. This brought their season record to 3-2.
