Man Arrested Walking Naked on Highway

A Monticello man was arrested and is facing numerous charges after police say he was found walking naked along a highway.

According to an arrest citation, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a nude man walking on KY 3286. They located James K. King, who told deputies he was “going to get some pants.” Officers said he appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and became disorderly, repeatedly kicking the door of a patrol car while being taken to jail.

King is charged with indecent exposure (second degree), public intoxication (controlled substance), and disorderly conduct (second degree).

He was also arrested on six outstanding Wayne County District Court warrants, which include multiple counts of contempt of court, failure to appear, public intoxication, criminal trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Court records show King left rehab on an agreed order related to several of the underlying charges.

King was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center.
