6th Grade Lady Generals Capture Second Straight 13th Region All A Title
The Jackson County Middle School 6th grade Lady Generals basketball team continued their incredible run over the weekend, capturing their second consecutive 13th Region All "A" championship over the weekend in Pineville. This talented group of young athletes remains perfect on the season with a remarkable 27-0 record. Their hard work, teamwork, and determination have led them to another championship, but their journey is far from over.
The Lady Generals will finish out their regular season with upcoming games against Harlan Independent and North Laurel. After that, they'll set their sights on the Kentucky Middle School State Tournament, taking place October 11th-13th in Lexington. With their eyes on the prize, the 6th grade team plans to battle hard as they aim to bring home a state championship for Jackson County.
The 7th/8th grade Lady Generals are also preparing for a big week. This talented group has had an outstanding conference season, dropping only one game so far. They will head into their All A conference tournament this weekend at Lynn Camp with high hopes and determination. Before the tournament, the Lady Generals face a challenging road test tomorrow night against the Harlan Lady Green Dragons, a game that will serve as a final tune-up before tournament play begins.
Both the 6th and 7th/8th grade teams have made Jackson County proud with their impressive seasons, and they continue to work hard as they represent their school and community.
We encourage the community to come out and support these girls as they finish their regular seasons and head into tournament play. These girls are a shining example for Jackson County, both on and off the court. Go Generals
