Kenneth Tillery Obituary

Kenneth Tillery was born October 21,1945 in Jackson County and departed this life on March 13, 2025, at his residence in Tyner, Kentucky at the age of 79. He was the son of the late Emory and Elizabeth (Day) Tillery.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Judy (Forman) Tillery and by his children Kimberly Lanter of Fountain City, Indiana, a son Ricky (Becky) Wilmot of Berea. Four grandchildren Morgan (Ben) Harrington, McKenzie (Jacob) Cates, Brianna Wilmot, Ryan Wilmot, and three great grandchildren, Maddie Harrington, Wesley Harrington and Ellie Harrington.
By a special sister Bitha Isaacs who he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents Ken was preceded in death by his son in law, Robbie Lanter; his brothers Finley, Everett, Glendon, Earl and Alfred Tillery, his sisters Nannie Mae Flannery, Margie Coffey, Carol Sue Cornett, Ruby Hunt, Ida Allen and Maggie Kay West.
Ken was an avid hunter; he loved the outdoors and nature, along with being a big UK Wildcats Fan. He was a Kentucky Colonel. A very artistic tile setter. Worked at the Board of Education as maintenance.
He was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, who was loved dearly by his family and friends.
He was a member of Gray Hawk Baptist Church.
He loved his nieces and nephews. Leaving a very special friend he loved like a brother, Russell VanWinkle.
Funeral services were at Gray Hawk Baptist Church 1 P.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, with Pastor Everett VanZant and Wilburn Coffey. Burial followed in the Spurlock Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Brian Coffey, Jacob Coffey, Rodney Cornett, Justin and Josh Rudicil, Mark Coyner, Dan Tillery , Rick Allen, Jeff Rudicil. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
