2024 Elementary Boys' Basketball Tournament

The 2023-2024 Elementary Boys' Basketball tournament crowned a new champion last Thursday night at the JCHS Gymnasium. The 2023-2024 Champion for the 2[nd] & 3[rd] Grade was earned by Tyner Gray with the Sand Gap Gold 2[nd] & 3[rd] grade team coming in a close second. Players on the Championship 2[nd] & 3[rd] Tyner Gray team included: Skyler Ward, Easton Collins, Joseph Row, Kade Coffey, Abram Shannon, Samuel Bowling, and Dawson Hubbard.

Players on the Runner-up Sand Gap Gold 2[nd] & 3[rd] grade squad included: Riley Bryant, Jordan Cole, Brylan Creech, Easton Fowler, Holden Fowler, Malachi Hisel, Michael Hofstetter, Ryan Hofstetter, Isiah Saylor, Tannon Tillery, and Colton Tillery. Members of the Sand Gap 2[nd] & 3[rd] Grade Black team included: Trevor Collins, Bryson Dotson, Jasper Golden, Jakob Hammon, Jace Hurst, Jacob Johnson, Mason Madden, Case Smith, and Josiah Neeley. Members of the Tyner Red 2[nd] & 3[rd] Grade team included: Elijah Burkhart, Cody Jones, Brody Thompson, Blake Parrett, Leland Johnson, Colton Berry, Caleb Jones, Bo Young, Gabriel Wells, Kane Collett, and Cheveyo Caldwell. Members of the McKee Blue 2[nd] & 3[rd] Grade team included: Paxton Singleton, Colton Fox, Blaize Horn, Brayden Anderson, Kyler Gibson, Nicholas Bryant, Tucker Truett, Cason McQueen, Keegan Rowland, Briley Bingham, Maxon Ayers, Jaystan Byrd, and Gunner Weaver. Members of the McKee White 2[nd] & 3[rd] Grade team included: Cole Spurlock, Dwight Robinson, Shyloh Weybright, Montgomery Bingham, Trayden Farmer, Rhett Kirby, Jaxon McQueen, Brad Abner, Bentley Sampson, Braxton Isaacs, Josiah Taylor, Brentley Flannery, and Kaiden Mitchell.

The 2023-2024 Champion for the 4[th] & 5[th] Grade teams came down to a matchup between Tyner Red & Sand Gap Black. Ultimately, 4[th] & 5[th] Tyner Red proved too much and were victorious earning the 2024 Championship trophy. Players on the Champion 4[th] & 5[th] Grade Tyner Red team included: Jake Hays, Jace Collett, Evan Alleshouse, David Judd, Karson Feltner, Bentley Haas, Jakob Shaffer, Colt Thomas, and Brennan Gilbert.

Members of the Runner-Up 4[th] & 5[th] Grade Sand Gap Black team included: Jonah Sandlin, Jackson Dozier, Cayden Smith, Jaylen Thompson, Malikiah Neeley, Jace Isaacs, Jalen Grimes, Jace Davidson, and Asher Brumfield. Members of the 4[th] & 5[th] Grade Sand Gap Gold team included: Owen Bray, Mayson Collins, Hunter Jackson, Mason Johnson, Riley Lawrence, Kadan Saylor, Trevon Smith, Isiah Saylor, and Colton Tillery. Members of the 4[th] & 5[th] Grade Tyner Gray team included: Collin Anderson, Bentlee Collins, Malachi Copeland, Jonah Shannon, Wyatt Metcalf, Jake Madden, Bentlee McCowan, Ferrlin Hall, Jaidyn Turner, William Ward, and Easton Lakes. Members of the McKee Blue 4[th] & 5[th] Grade team included: Alazae Brewer, Gavin Neeley, Kaiden Adkins, River Farra, Abram Harrison, Kyler Waltz, Brayden Adkins, Bentley Ward, Luke Collett, and Bentley Collett. Members of the McKee White 4[th] & 5[th] Grade team included: Ethan Bullens, Jessie Vaughn, Kyson Farmer, Titus Truett, Jace Stidham, Taygan Coyle, David Piercy, and Hunter Smith.

The 2023-2024 Elementary Boys' All-Tournament team included: Tyner Red - Evan Alleshouse, Jace Collett, David Judd, Kason Feltner, Colt Thomas; Sand Gap Black - Jonah Sandlin, Cayden Smith, Jaxson Dozier, Jaylen Thompson, Malikiah Neeley; McKee White - Titus Truett, Taygan Coyle, Ethan Bullens; McKee Blue - Luke Collett, River Farra, Brentley Ward; Tyner Red- Jonah Shannon, Bentley McCowan, Jake Madden; Sand Gap Gold - Kaiden Saylor, Trevin Smith, and Jeremiah Turner.

With the kind of talent on display at the 2023-24 Boys' Elementary tournament it is safe to say that the future of the Jackson County Boys' Basketball program has never looked brighter!!
