Redemption Against the Oneida Baptist Mountaineers

On December 17th, the Generals were taken down by OBI in a nail-biting battle; their second match was sure to be one to watch. And it was.
Similarly to the first Generals vs. Mountaineers face-off, on January 24th the game was an up-and-down, hard-fought race. Only this time, it resulted in victory.
After the game, one of the many top contributing players was asked what he thought changed coming from their last game against Oneida, where the team didn't perform as they would have liked, to their most recent. This is what Braxton Clemons had to say -
"I think we just took care of the ball a little better; we got down early - we fought back. We ran our offense well late in the fourth quarter and just got it done."
This building of a well-rounded team is similar to what Tansen Truett had to say in a post-game interview with PRTC. When Brian Murray asked the PRTC Player of The Game, if he felt things starting to come together and the team starting to play more in harmony out on the floor, he said, "Definitely. The seniors and the freshmen - we weren't used to each other. The seniors have been playing their whole high school career and we hadn't gotten to play with them... Now I think we all are in sync, all know what we can do best, and all know how to play against other teams, and how to rotate on defense."
This 56-53 game set the Varsity Generals 8-9 for the season. Will this momentum carry to their away game against the Clay County Tigers on Friday, January 31st? Only time will tell, but it is for certain, the Generals will be coming to win.
